Graduate of Leonteios Lyceum of Patissia, in 1984 and graduated from the Medical School of Athens University, 1990.
After completing his military service in the Parachute School, as graduate Paratrooper, followed by specialization in General Surgery at General Hospital of Melissia "Amalia Fle- ming", and in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology in the Orthopaedic Clinic of the University of Patras, where he prepared a doctoral thesis on “Prognosis of fixation of cement- less total hip replacements."
He was trained in spine surgery, having scholarships of Greek Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology and the International Spinal Study Group (ISSG), in the University of Heidelberg, Germany (1999-2000) and the University Or- thopaedic Clinic Saint Gallen, Switzerland (2000 - 200). He was also trained in endoscopic surgery techniques of the spine, as well as techniques of limited intrusiveness (MIS) in hospital St. Anna, Herne Germany, (2004), and has attended numerous educational practices seminars, mainly abroad, covering the entire spectrum of surgical spine.
He served as Curator B of the National Health System (NHS) in the Orthopaedic Clinic of the University of Patras (2001), followed by a nine-year academic career, to the rank of Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics in the University of Patras until 2010, when he resigned to pursue private profession.
He works as a medical advisor and instructor of medical equipment companies Alphatec Spine, USA (since 2008) and Medtronic, USA (2012), with an educational presence in both the US and in Europe.
Invited speaker or trainer in more than 140 conferences in Greece and abroad, as well as a guest instructor in more than 20 seminars with internships abroad, in matters of surgical techniques of reduced intrusiveness (MIS) in the spine. Author of more than 50 full publications or executive sum- mary in international refereed journals and publications in numerous Greek scientific journals. He has presented more than 70 oral presentations in international, and more than 90 in Greek, conferences and events. He has attended more than 150 international and Greek scientific conferences.
He has participated in organizing and scientific committees of numerous Greek scientific events, as well as having been a member of the Committee of the Central Council of Health to "study Rehabilitation problems of Persons with Dis- abilities, tetraplegia - paraplegia" (2001).
He has been elected Chairman of the Department of Spine Disease (2011), and is a founding member of the Greek Society of Spine (2006) and a member of international companies International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS) and Gerhard Kuentscher Society (GKK).
