Born in Athens. Studied at Hellenic School of Education in Marousi. In 1974, passed into the Faculty of Medicine in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating in1980.
During the period of 1981-1982 carried out her medical community practice at Kastorias Hospital in the Microbiological Laboratory. Afterwards, started specialising in Pathology, completing a period of three years at the General State Hospital of Piraeus. In 1986, started her second specialty of Haematology at the Haematologic & Lymphoma Clinic in Evangelismos Hospital, in which she completed in 1990 , specialising simultaneously in the infections of neutropenic patients and problems regarding thrombophilia. Followed by a period of post graduate training in the USA.
Since 1991, she has been holding a private surgery in the Athens region and from 1992 has been a medical partner of the Haematological Clinic of the Therapeutic Centre Hygeia and the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit under the direction of Professor A. Papagiannis. From 2000 onwards, she has been maintaining her own affiliate team at Hygeia Clinic.
To her credit, she has more than 40 scientific projects been published in both Greek and International periodicals and over 20 announcements in Greek and International scientific forums. She has participated as a public speaker and president in numerous roundtables for haematologic issues in various clinics of the University of Athens as well as a writer in medical books, while having published a series of popularized articles in several hospital magazines and newsletters. Every year, she actively participates in Greek and International conferences, both in Europe and the USA.
