he Neurosurgeon Charalampos Seferis was born on 03/25/1960 in Karditsa. He received his medical degree at 06/09/1985 and on 10/30/1986 took the medical profession licence.
From 1986 to 1987 he worked in the field of general surgery at the 404 General Hospital of Larissa, as assistant surgeon. From 1987 to 1988 completed one (1) year at the Health Center of Farkadona in Trikala, exercising the intended com- pulsory rural service, while from 1988 to 1989 he worked at the General Hospital of Nea Ionia “AGIA OLGA”, in A’ surgery clinic as trainee in General Surgery.
For the next two years until 1991, offered his services to NIMTS hospital as trainee Neurosurgeon, exercising the same practice from 1991 until 1994 at the hospital “AGIOS SAVVAS”. Later, until 1997 he worked as Curator B’ Neurosurgeon at “HYGEIA” private hospital, in which he is still working as a neurosurgeon partner, completing 20 years of activity. Since 1994, year of reception of expertise, to this day, he exercises Neurosurgery as a freelancer, performing alongside the role of Coordinator in neuromodulation section of Hospital “HYGEIA”.
Currently he is working as a neurosurgeon, having taken all the necessary knowledge of a set of educational activities. In 1994, he specialized in the use of Laser in Neurosurgery (for the treatment of herniated intervertebral disc of lumbar and cervical pp), while in 1998 he trained in pain management at the First Annual Athens Workshop- Interventional pain conference and cadaver workshop in Athens (World Institute of Pain).
In 1998 he was trained in "microsurgery access of cerebel- lopontine angle" and skull base for brain tumors. In Novem- ber 2005 he trained in treating brain tumors radiosurgery with the method of c - knife at Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden Stockholm.
In 2005, he participated in surgeries in the Neurosurgical Clinic of the University of Kiel in Germany for the method of deep brain stimulation, and education: The deep brain stimulation for the treatment of Parkinson disease & essential tremor training, Leuven, Belgium.
In 2006 he had surgery of Vagus Nerve Stimulation to treat seizures and depression, and participated in: Advanced Stereotactic Workshop for Leksell Stereotactic System Users Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
In 2007 he specialized in percutaneous accesses and endo- scopic surgery of spine (“Chirurgie endoscopique du rachis et techniques percutanees” organise par la Societe Fran- caise des Techniques Endoscopiques Rachidiene et Approches Percutanees), at the University of Bordeaux in France.
In 2008 and 2009 he trained in Norway in Trondheim in 3D Ultrasound and Neuronavigation-National Centre for 3D Ultrasound in Surgery, and in SonoWand Invite.
In 2010 received On-site training for the Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion and participated in the European Accredi- tation Council for Continuing Medical Education. Until today, he is a member of the World Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery of Leksell Gamma Knife Society and Greek Neurosurgical Society.
