Dr. Ioannis Koutoukos graduated from the Medical School of Athens University and a PhD at the University of Athens.
Trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Britain, acquired the family planning diploma DFFP, the diploma of colposcopy by the British Society for Colposcopy BSCCP -where he became a trainer- and ultrasound training diploma level B in the Fetal Medicine from WESSEX DEANERY.
Worked in departments of gynaecological urology, where -having the certification of training in urodynamic checks, he gained experience in surgical repair of related ailments.
Then dealt with gynaecological endoscopy, taking the Master of Gynaecological Endoscopy in Surrey, England and began his postgraduate studies in Laparoscopic Surgery in England and then in Norway and Argentina.
He dealt with the laparoscopic treatment of benign gynaecological conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, prolapse of genital organs, urinary incon- tinence etc., and malignant diseases requiring radical laparoscopic removal.
He is a trainer of the European Academy of Gynaecologic Surgery EAGS in Belgium, and the Endoscopy
Company of Argentine, a scientific reviewer of Gynaecological Endoscopy journals on the techniques of a hole, and has chaired and in various international scientific meetings.
He is founder of gynaecological endoscopy center “ENDOGYNECOLOGY” and a member of the laparoscopic group of Hospital “MITERA”.
