The specialised endodontists are dentist surgeons, with at least two more years of specific training upon the diagnosis of en- dondontic problems and their treatment.
Due to the fact that they only practice the field of endodontics in their own private surgeries, they confront with these kind of problems on a daily basis. They use their knowledge, training and experience, in order to treat difficult cases, like teeth with very closely the enasvestiomenoi canal or unusual anatomy.
The specialised endodontists make use of cutting-edge technology, like microscopes, ultrasounds and digital illustration as assisting instruments in the treatment.
We shall cooperate with you as well as your own dentist, so to maintain as far as possible your natural denture. We use state-of-the-art systems parallel to previous techniques, so to be absolutely certain of the great success rates of your endodontics treatment.
-
Use of Microscope
It is our greatest advantage regarding quality improvement of the endodontic treatment. By actually using the maximum magni- fication and illumination, the microscope allows us to trace even the slightest details regarding the tooth's anatomy. Hence, by acquiring this magnification, we are able to reach high standards of diagnosis and treatment, leading us to sheer success.
-
Digital Radiography Illustration
The digital radiography imaging system, offers an exceptional quality and picture analysis, which is instantly displayed on the computer ́s screen. Moreover, the patient is exposed to a much smaller radiation rate by 75-80% in comparison with the con- ventional x-ray machines. All these diagnostic assisting tools, susbsequently reduce treatment time and give the patient the pos- sibility to have an outlook of one ́s successful endodontic treatment.
-
Nickel & Titanium Rotatory tools
The rotatory tools that are used to clean and shape accordingly the internal tooth canal, are made of a new, solid, though at the same time flexible material. These tools are motor-powered; as a result the urgent need to use hand and finger tools, is kept to a minimum. Therefore, both the actual time required for the tooth preparation is being reduced and a much cleaner root canal with more predictable results is feasible.
-
Ulltrasounds
Usage of high-quality ultrasounds system is evident. The variety of ultrasound scrapers applied in dentistry, have become absolutely necessary in the endodontic treatment. They are used under the conduct of the microscope and allow the finding of hidden canals and penetration in these, the irrigating canals and removal of any obstacles located internally (removal of metal shafts, silver cones, guttapercha and crushed tools).
-
Apex Locators
By using an electrical device, we could locate with great accuracy the tooth's apex; so the spot up to which the endodontist will carry out the cleaning and blockage of the canal, is clearly determined.
-
Application of rubber dam
We isolate the tooth that is about to be treated endondontically, by using a rubber dam. It is a square piece of rubber, of a 6-inch side, which is extremely efficient in isolating the treatment area. It is allowed to breathe and swallow normally. In this way, the patient might fully relax, as he/she is aware of the fact that, neither water nor chemical solutions or tools can escape from the dentist ́s attention with the danger of swallowing them.
