George D. Goudelis was born in Köln, Germany. He completed all his school studies in Thessaloniki where he also continued his studies in higher education. He graduated from the Medical school of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He specialized in the Surgery Clinic of the University of Thessaloniki for one year and continued his specialization in the K.AT. Hospital, 1st Orthopaedic Clinic, University of Athens, under its director Professor PN. Soucacos for another five years. During the residency he received special training in arthroplasties, fractures surgery, arthroscopy, Orthopaedic Sports Medicine surgery, microsurgery and in the Children's General Hospital Penteli Athens in pediatric orthopaedics.
On finishing his specification studies, he moved to Germany on a scholarship to the Ruprecht-Karls University of Heidelberg, in the “Center of Knee, Foot, Ankle and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgery" in the world famous Clinic ATOS , HEIDELBERG GERMANY”, approved training Center ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy Knee Surgery & Orthopaedic Sports Medicine).
Under the supervision of professors of Orthopaedic Hans Paessler and Hayo Thermann he received intensive training in arthroscopic, reconstructive and sports injuries surgery - Knee arthroplasty MIS- unicompartmental Knee arthroplasty, meniscal and chondrocyte transplantation, regenerative medicine. In 2007, he was awarded lectorship of the University of Athens, with a grade A.
During all those years he has spoken in many conferences and seminars, has taken part in organizing educational programs of the University of Athens, has published articles in national and international literature as well as chapters in medical books.
He travels regularly abroad to attend international conferences and seminars of special education.
His contact with the ATOS KLINIC in Heidelberg is continuous to monitor the ongoing developments of Orthopaedics.
Today orthopaedic surgeon George Goudelis lives in Thessaloniki, works at the Interbalkan European Medical Center and runs a private practice in the center of Thessaloniki. In Athens Dr. Goudelis see the patients in Athens Medical Center.
