He graduated from the School of Medicine in 1988. He carried out his military service in 1991. He carried out the rural service between 1991-1992. He gained specialisation in Urology in 1992-1997 at–St Dimitrios Hospital in Thessaloniki. Since 1997, he has been a private citizen of Thessaloniki. In 2008 he received training in Laparoscopic Urology in Strasbourg, followed by training upon placement of penile prosthesis and artificial spincter in 2011 at Tenon Hospital, Paris. From 2010 until 2012, he received training in the field of Robotic at St. Antonius Hospital in Gronau, Germany. Holder of Certification in Robotic Surgery, accredited by Intuitive Surgical (DaVinci Surgery) in 2013.
